Karol Nawrocki a hero of football fans. "From neo-Nazi ultra to president"

Let us recall that during the election campaign , Karol Nawrocki's unusual "sports" activity , as for a candidate for the President of Poland, came to light. The President of the Institute of National Remembrance took part in the so-called fan brawls years ago. Nawrocki is a declared fan supporter of Lechia Gdańsk football. What's more, there are supposedly even recordings of a specific fan brawl (aka brawl) involving the winner of the second presidential round, but they have not been published.
Karol Nawrocki on the lips after the victory. A hero of football fansThe fan community gave clear signals about who they would support during the presidential elections. This was visible, among others, in the stands of Polish stadiums, where Nawrocki's main rival, Rafał Trzaskowski, was repeatedly insulted.
How did fans react to the victory of the candidate supported by Law and Justice? Entries on fan-themed accounts leave no doubt.
There are also entries in the foreign edition.
On the other hand, there are foreign media that point to the "origins" of Nawrocki, the future president of Poland, precisely in the context of fans. To put it mildly, in a not very positive light for the person concerned.
"Far-right Karol Nawrocki has won the election and will become president of Poland. He was a member of the neo-Nazi ultras of Lechia Gdańsk, one of the most brutal fascist groups in European football," wrote Spanish journalist and author Fonsi Loaiza on platform X.
His post was quickly picked up by other Internet users.
"From a neo-Nazi ultra to president. Karol Nawrocki, the radical face of Poland shocking Europe" - reads one of the comments on Loaiza's shared post.
Interestingly, on Sunday, June 1st at 9:00 PM, two exit polls were published. Both polls gave Rafał Trzaskowski an advantage. A few hours later, the results of a late poll were published, in which the margin of error is decreasing. This poll already indicated an advantage for Karol Nawrocki.
Ultimately, according to the official results provided by the National Electoral Commission, Nawrocki won 50.89 percent of the votes in the second round of the presidential elections, while Trzaskowski won 49.11 percent.
– From the bottom of my heart I want to thank the citizens of Poland. And to say that we have managed to do at least two things during the entire election campaign, over the last six months. First of all, we did not let ourselves be broken! – said Nawrocki during the election night.
A total of 10,606,877 voters voted for the president of the Institute of National Remembrance and the candidate supported by Law and Justice. In turn, the mayor of Warsaw and the candidate of the Civic Coalition also obtained an impressive result of 10,237,286 votes. The turnout in the second round of the elections was 71.63 percent.
